    Nickel-Electro prides itself on being a UK manufacturer. Some of this machinery is still used today.

  12. 1990

    Nickel-Electro achieves accreditation to ISO9001 on 1st April 1990, formally known as BS5750. Jim Dickson, Managing Director of Nickel-Electro receives the certificate from MP Jerry Wiggin.

  13. 1991

    Extension to factory premises being built.

  14. 1992

    Melvin Dickson is appointed Managing Director and Robert Dickson is appointed Deputy Managing Director by their Father, Jim Dickson.

  15. 1993

    Advertising poster in Weston Mercury, October 1993. Nickel-Electro was given Supplier Of The Year award in recognition of their excellent standard of service.

  16. 1995

    Article in Business South West Magazine, July 1995. Melvin Dickson talks about the reasons behind the name choice ‘Clifton’ and how popular it is becoming as a recognisable brand name.

  17. 1997

    International Exhibition, The Clifton Range is displayed.

  18. 2000

    Laboratory Exhibition, Frankfurt.

  19. 2002

    Nickel-Electro Ltd gained the Investor In People award in July 2002.

  20. 2005

    Launch of the Clifton Food Range®.

  21. 2006

    Nickel-Electro launched the Clifton Food Range® into the industry at The Restaurant Show. This was the first hospitality show the company took part in.

  22. 2008

    The Clifton Food Range® demo kitchen is built.

  23. 2009

    Clifton Food Range® won the Excellence Award for their FL28D water bath presented by Caterer and Hotelkeeper. The award was in the category of Food Preparation.

  24. 2010

    The Clifton Food Range® garden was created. The garden is on site and includes a veg patch, apple and pear trees and a bee hive. The garden produces lots of ingredients which are used in the Clifton kitchen.

  25. 2011

    Clifton Food Range® launched the new double ended tasting spoons, tweezer tongs and micro tweezers.

  26. 2012

    Clifton Food Range® became a sponsor of The Chefs’ Forum in Bristol & Devon.

  27. 2013

    Clifton exhibited a range of products on the Sia Huat stand at FHA exhibition in Singapore. Sia Huat is one of the largest foodservice equipment suppliers in Asia and they are also the exclusive distributor for Clifton products in Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia.

  28. 2014

    The Clifton Sauce Bottlewarmer was launched in 2014.

    The Sauce Bottlewarmer is designed to keep sauces and liquids warm for dressing plates. Ideal for busy, fast working kitchens.

    The Clifton Sauce Bottlewarmer can also be used front of house and in cocktail bars, ideal for fluid gels and purees.

  29. 2015

    In 2015 we launched our brand new product Clifton at Home – a unique 8 litre stainless steel water bath available in six different colours with touch screen controller. Cooking at home couldn’t get any easier!

  30. 2016

    We have recently become members of CESA, Catering Equipment Suppliers’ Association; a highly distinguished organisation who specialises in bringing together commercial kitchen equipment suppliers and is recognised as the largest and most influential membership association for companies involved in the manufacture, import/export, distribution, installation and servicing of commercial catering equipment.

    WE’RE 75!!!!!

    This year celebrated our 75th birthday as a company!

  32. 2018

    This year we hosted our first charity event in aid of Weston Hospice.

    With a beautiful sunshine filled day, a fantastic raffle with support from local companies and some delicious cakes for sale we raised £2024.03 for our local charity.

    We would like to thank all the companies who donated prizes or made donations for this cause.
